Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s message to Jose Mourinho and Man United fans

The big news this morning for the fans of Manchester United is not the signing of Alvaro Morata, neither is it the signing of James Rodriguez but it is the departure of Zlatan Ibrahimovic from Old Trafford.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is now a free agent and he has announced his departure through his social media page.

Ibrahimovic refused to extend his contract with Paris Saint Germain in the penultimate season and he joined Man United on a free last summer.

His impressive debut season with Man United hit the brick walls after he sustained a horrendous anterior cruciate ligament injury during Man United quarter-final Cup win over Anderlecht in the April of this year.

Despite surpassing the twilight of his enviable career with Man United, the 35-year-old  Swedish football god scored 28 goals in 46 appearances. You cannot but give it to him as a class act in football.

According to Manchesteveningnews, Ibrahimovic rejected a contract extension with Man United and he will further his career away from the Premier League when he fully recovers from the injury.

Ibrahimovic took to Instagram and posted the following:

I came. I said. I conquered.

Ibrahimovic scored six goals in seven games and became the first United player to win the Premier League player of the month over 15 months.

With Man United, he won the EFL Cup, the Europa Cup and the Community Shield.

Weldone Zlatan Ibrahimovic, we will miss you.
