Arsenal progress under Unai Emery has not gone unnoticed as he has brought in an influx of new signings to the club. Former Arsenal right-back Bacary Sagna has praised this changes and believes Unai Emery is the right man for the job.
Sagna during an interview with French outlet So Foot gave his take on this and believes that Emery represents a new revival to the club. Sagna also believes that Emery would not be fazed by the pressure in England as he had to face pressure while with French giants PSG.
Sagna also reiterated he believe that Arsenal can beat any team on their good day and compete for the league title..
“Emery is the right choice to advance the club. He had to live with a lot of pressure at PSG, and he will find the same at Arsenal because everyone expects him to rebuild the club quickly. As I have always said, Arsenal can beat anyone, but lately it was a team capable of both the best and the worst.”
However, the club has descended into a state of laxity moving between good and bad performances. It would be interesting to see how Emery would be able to revamp the fortunes of Arsenal,
Though he has recruited 5 players to help in making the transition easy. Torreira, Sokratis, Lichtsteiner, Guendouzi and Leno
Arsenal begins their season with a double header against Manchester City and Chelsea as the club enters the first season without Arsene Wenger. Sagna spent 4 years at the Emirates before moving on a free transfer to Manchester City within a single premier league title.
