Why Mourinho is struggling to manage Man United dressing room – Claude Makelele reveals

Chelsea great Claude Makelele has revealed the reason behind Jose Mourinho’s failure to properly manage Anthony Martial and Paul Pogba, this is according to report.

Jose Mourinho has recently come under the spotlight for his inability to keep the dressing room of the Red Devils in harmony, with claims that the Portuguese manager has had feud with the aforementioned French footballers.

Since the arrival of Jose Mourinho in the summer of 2016, Martial has been a bit-part player and he is seeking transfer away from the club. Meanwhile Pogba has failed to justify his price tag following his inconsistency and he has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford.

Makelele was a key figure in Mourinho that won the Premier league twice and he has claimed that during his time at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea had mature players.

‘I learned a lot with Jose,’ Makelele told The Sun

‘But at Chelsea he had players like me, John Terry, Frank Lampard. ‘Now it is different. This generation is not the same. ‘It has made him tired. He has gone through generation after generation after generation of players. ‘Each one is different and maybe he misses the earlier generation. But he still works hard.’

Manchester United will take on in-form Watford and they will be looking to make it three wins in five Premier league games this weekend.
