Why i may not sign another player in this transfer window – Arsene Wenger reveals

Arsenal have failed to win the Premier League title for over 12-years and they fell to an all time low in the League last term, ending fifth on the League table and failing to qualify for the Champions League.

Nonetheless, Arsene Wenger was handed a two-year contract extension at the end of the last season and he has to prove his critiques that he deserves to continue as the helms man of the Gunners.

Ahead of the upcoming season, Arsene Wenger has bolstered his squad – Alexandre Lacazette joined in a record 52million Pounds deal, while Sead Kolasinac joined on free transfers. The Gunners fans are currently dissatisfied with the state of the squad despite the new signings and they want Wenger to add one or two more players.

Arsene Wenger has refused to budge to the number of his players his capital rivals have signed, and he appears unperturbed with their own dealings in the transfer market. Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea have all spent over £100m to bolster their squad but Wenger has spent the least.

Since the signing of Alexandre Lacazette, Arsenal have been linked with move for Thomas Lemar and Riyad Mahrez but Wenger has suggested that he may not sign another player before the window is closed.

“We are open to an exceptional player,” he told Sky Sports. “However, just to remind you we have 33 players and they are all good players.”

“That’s unmanageable to bring one more player in for the sake of it would be stupid, but if we find an exceptional one, we will do it.”

Players like Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, Theo Walcott, Oliver Giroud and Jack Wilshere have all flattered to deceive. Despite the chances handed them, they have failed to establish themselves as world class footballers.

Arsenal could still with an attacker to complement Lacazette and a midfielder that he will come in the stead of Santi Cazorla.
