Former Liverpool great Michael Owen has revealed why Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is a world class footballer.
Auba is currently one of the joint top scorers in the Premier League with 14 goals in 21 games even though this is his first full season in England.
Harry Kane and Mohamed Salah are also in blistering form in their respective clubs and they are giving the Gabon international a run for his money.
Talking about Aubameyang, Michael said what he enjoys watching about the goal poacher.
“He’s a goal-scorer,” Owen told BT Sport on Saturday night. “He’s got the pace to get into certain areas.
“The big thing about goal-scorers is that you have to maximise your chances of scoring with every chance you get. You have to choose the right finish, and I think he does that as well as most.
“He goes for power when he needs to go for power and he can place it and score different types of goals. He picks the right finish every time.
“There is only Mo Salah who scored more goals in the Premier League since he signed for Arsenal. It’s a phenomenal record.”
Aubameyang joined Arsenal in the January transfer window of 2018 in a £58m deal and this then, he has proven his goal scoring prowess.
