The Premier League is the best league in Europe, and Arsenal’s newboy Matteo Guendouzi has admitted the Gunners can win the Premier League title this season.
The north London outfit last earned the coveted trophy in 2003-2004, and have struggled as challengers to win it again.
However, Guendouzi believes under new boss Unai Emery and the quality of staff and players at his disposal, the Gunners can pull a stunner this season.
The 19-year-old ace joined Arsenal last month from Lorient and has garnered enough plaudits for himself after a promising start to the new season, in the club’s pre-season friendlies and against winners Manchester City on Sunday.
The star admitted he was pleased and right to have handpicked Arsenal as his next club, amid plenty of offers from top European clubs.
The youngster cited Thierry Henry as part of his reasons moving to the club, even with convincing words from former Arsenal striker Jeremie Aliadiere.
Unai Emery suffered a defeat, in his first game in charge, but Guendouzi is confident they can comeback strong when they visit neighbours Chelsea on Saturday and equally win the League.
He said: ‘Yes, I believe we can win it this season because of the players and staff we have.
“We truly believe and will do everything we can to win as many games as we can and to have a fantastic season. I truly believe we can do it.
He added:” We can win titles because of the environment we have here and the quality of the players at our disposal.”
