‘What motivated me to become a world class player’ – Eden Hazard reveals

Eden Hazard  remembered his time at  Ligue 1 when playing for Lille, he was one of the youngsters who were privileged to train alongside former Barcelona striker, Patrick Kluivert.

Kluivert is one of the top players in Lille during Hazard early days at the club.

Hazard reveals how his first month at the club looked like, he  said,“In my first month I trained with Patrick Kluivert and he had a good mentality,”

Kluivert  on his part, ensured that younger players are carried along in the club’s program and training sessions.

According to Eden Hazard, Kluivert serves as a motivator to young players who are developing in the game including himself (Hazard). Kluivert is a player who never jokes with his physical appearance, he trains a lot, builds up his muscles, and he ensures he visits the gym regularly.

Having seen a great player in such an active mood in the gym, the Belgian forward believes there is more to football than just playing and scoring goals.

“That’s when I started to understand that football is not easy and you need to work if you want to arrive.”admits Hazard.

Eden Hazard has found the back of the net just once this season in the Premier league which came against Bournemouth, no thanks to a thigh injury he picked up during the international break with Belgium.

He will be hoping to get back to form when the Premier League resumes on Saturday after the final international break for this year.

Hazard has won the PFA player of the season twice and he is on the transfer radar of Real Madrid but Chelsea will not be willing to allow their most priced possession leave.
