“We agreed” Club president confirm two-year deal with 17-goal Man United’s transfer target

Jose Mourinho inherited a Manchester United team that he wasn’t satisfied with as he took charge of the Red Devils reigns last summer. The Portuguese tactician signed on some players and showed others the exit of Old Trafford – he is keen on rebuilding the Red Devils squad as he aims to bring back the glory Man United days.

After completing the signing of Victor Lindelof, Man United are yet unrelenting as they continue to search for top-notch players. Man United are heavily linked with a move for Brazil born star Anderson Talisca but they have been dealt a blow in the pursuit of the player after the Chied of Besiktas Umut Guner ruled out a possible for the attacking midfielder this summer, reports the Express.

Talisca, 23, was loaned from Benfica to Beskitas last summer and the attacking midfielder enjoyed a prolific season where he scored 17 goals in 33 appearances for the Black Eagles. He fanned the flames of speculation linking him with a move to United when he revealed that he dreams of playing for the Red Devils.

However, Umut Guner has played down the reports linking him with a move this term, putting it to the media that the Brazilian will remain with the Vodafone Park side next season.

“There is no deal with Manchester United or anyone else in place,” Guner told Turkish-Football.

“We agreed to a two-year deal with Benfica. The loan did have a clause that he had to activate the option which we did.

“Talisca will stay at Besiktas on loan for another season.

If there was something that heavily impacted on the poor Premier League season of Manchester United, it was the lack of creativity in the final third, which can be provided by Talisca. United are solid in defense and midfield but lack the cutting edge in attack to kill games.

Mourinho is linked with an array of creative players and he would turn his attention to them since this has been ruled out.
