While Antonio Conte has spent the excess of £100m to bolster his squad, he must be commended for also recouping over £140million in the sale of players.
Chelsea youngster Mason Mount will be lacing his boots for Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem next season after Chelsea agreed a season-long loan deal for his move, according to reports.
Nemanja Matic, Dominic Solanke and Bertrand Traore all played for the Dutch side and Chelsea have continued with their relationship with the Club. Mount will follow in the stead of the aforementioned Chelsea stars after Vitesse Arnhem beat some Championship side to his signature.
Mount was vital to Chelsea’s academy conquest of FA Youth Cup success last season, and he ended last term as the Academy player of the year.
Mount, 18, put pen to paper on four year deal before completing the loan move to the Dutch side. He signed his first professional contract for Chelsea on his 17th birthday last year and he has been rewarded again for his improvement.
“Vitesse feels like me the next step in my career,” Mount told the Dutch club’s website.
“Vitesse gave me a good feeling when discussing [the move]. I also talked to other players like Lewis Baker and Mukhtar Ali, who were all positive about the club.”
Mount can play in various positions in midfield and he provided the assist for England as they beat Portugal in the final for a famous tournament triumph.
There are chunk of Chelsea players currently at Vitesse, Charlie Colkett and Fankaty Dabo will now be joined by the English youngster.
