Arsenal boss Unai Emery has assured the fans of the club of a better next season, this is according to reports.
Following their dismal strings of performances in the second half of the season, Emery has been fingered for his faulty tactics that has seen the form of the club plummeted. The Gunners had a chance to go above Tottenham on the table but they bottled every opportunity to move up.
They have lost at home and away against mid-table teams, leaving many to question the tactical prowess of Emery. The latest in their catalog of disappointing performance was a draw against Brighton and Hove Albion at the Emirates last weekend.]
The North London side are now in fifth place on the table and unless a miracle happen, they are unlikely going to end up in top four place on the table.
Emery was quizzed on his plans for the coming season, and he assured that we would see a better team next season.
“At the moment, for us and for me, we’ve spoken with the players,” Emery said.
“The Premier League is the best competition to give us our regularity, our consistency. If we are 27 points behind the leaders, that’s the difference. But we are going to work and build up our future.
“This season is also about learning and continuing to create our way. Our way is in the future to make the difference in the table less to these teams.”
Arsenal have a chance of winning the Europa League though. The won Valencia 3-1 in the first leg of the semi-final and they return to play the La Liga side in the second leg of the competition this Thursday.
