Unai Emery sanctions Arsenal deal for £37.5m-rated pacey winger

Unai Emery has sanctioned a deal for Argentina international and Boca Juniors winger Cristian Pavon, this is according to reports.

Emery has left the Gunners fan base delirious and full of expectation over his handling of transfers at the club. Even though he revealed that they may come-off the transfer window, he also revealed that he would pounce on the chance to sign an exceptional player.

“We signed the players who we needed and only if one player is a big opportunity for us will we sign them,” he said.

“At the moment, I think the squad is complete. We will only sign another player if there is an opportunity to bring in that one player, or two players.

Arsenal have already signed on Stephan Lichtsteiner, Bernd Leno, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi but there’s a massive call for the boss to add a winger.

Alex Iwobi, Danny Welbeck and Henrikh Mkhitaryan can play in the wing position but they are not very fast and do not really present threats to opposing defenses.

Although Argentina crashed out of the World Cup in the round of 16, Pavon was one of the standout performers for side and this got his club to increase his release-clause to £37.5million.

According to the Express via Footballondon, Emery would not pass on the chance to sign Pavon. However, Arsenal must move to sign the player as Barcelona are also heavily linked with a move for him.
