Arsenal are still trying to crimp Denis Suárez and have not stopped courting him this window.
Gunners’ camp have a splitted opinion over signing the Spanish midfielder.
Sven Mislintat had disagreed over picking up the midfielder, despite Arsenal’s unquenchable hunger to sign him.
Gunners take on Chelsea at the Emirates this weekend, and Unai Emery in a pre-match conference before the derby confirmed talks have commenced over bringing the frustrated star on loan.
“Conversations with us have been very primitive,” Emery said. “I don’t want to say to you this private conversations with the club.”
Talks bouncing around say that strings of conversation about the player’s future have been exchanged between both outfits.
The Mirror admits that Arsenal are edging closer to finally hammer out a deal with Barcelona that should see Suárez make a move to Emirates.
Arsenal chief Raul Sanhelli is completely on board with the project, a move that had angered Mislintat, who had helped Gunners bring home striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund last season.
Currently, Suárez is not getting enough games and that is crawling up his skin. Arsenal are hopeful they can get him to play for the next six months, should they pull off a stunner in making the deal come through. A plan to sign him would later be considered, with his price valuation set at 18 million pounds.
