Arsenal are reportedly keen on stealing a march on Barcelona and Bayern Munich to the signing of Lille winger Nicolas Pepe.
Unai Emery’s men have been enjoying a swell campaign this season, and are yet to concede a defeat, save for the two loses they had when the season went underway.
The second half of the Premier League season is just around the corner and dipping into Arsenal’s purse in the transfer window at the turn of the year is something Emery is raring to do.
Emery’s forward selections Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette have been in top form since the start of the season.
Arsenal look very balanced offensively, after they took Pochettino’s men by surprise, pipping them 4-2 at the Emirates last weekend.
Nonetheless, Emery wants to fatten, and beef up the squad.
Nicolás Pepe has already caught Emery’s eyes and transfer talks will soon take shape.
But interests in the star are not from Arsenal alone. La Liga football powerhouse Barcelona are keen.
Barcelona are dipped in a clash with French star Ousmane Dembele, and they want to chop him off the squad as soon as possible.
Meanwhile Bayern Munich are said to be sniffing around the player as they look to find a long-term replacement for Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery.
