Top source confirm 24-goal South-American star will play for Arsenal next season

Arsenal may have gone on their pre-season tour with the future of some of their players a subject of speculation, they are bound to have their key player for the upcoming season.

Alexis Sanchez will be lacing his boots for Arsenal next season, this is the submission for the Gunners Captain Per Mertesacker.

Following the Gunner slump in the Premier League last season, Alexis Sanchez refused to extend his contract despite being in his final year and it was speculated that he will pursue a career for a Club in the Champions League next season. Paris Saint Germain, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Manchester City have being on the queue for his signature but he is set for another spell with Arsenal.

Sanchez had a barnstorming season with Arsenal last season where he scored 24 League goals and fired the Gunners to an FA Cup title. Although, Arsenal have bolstered their squad with the signing of Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette, Sanchez probable departure will set the Gunners aback.

Per Mertesacker spoke with Fourfourtwo, regarding the future of Sanchez and he said:

“We have a strong squad and we do not want to lose any players.

“Even in their final contract year we need them. We cannot afford to lose them. If you’re talking about championships, to keep our best player is key.”

Chile came second in the just concluded FIFA confederations Cup game in Russia and Sanchez was a key member of the squad that went all the way to the final.

We hope he stays back.
