Thomas Lemar to Arsenal: Good news as Monaco announce deal for new attacking midfielder

Arsene Wenger is one coach who hardly meets the valuation of his targets, he wants players to be signed on his valuation and not of the selling clubs’.

The transfer saga between Arsenal and Monaco for the transfer of Thomas Lemar has been drawn from the opening of the transfer window till now but it appears that the French Champions are resigned to losing their talented winger.

Arsenal have been handed a major boost in the pursuit of Thomas Lemar, this follows from Monaco’s signing of Rachid Ghezzal who has been dubbed as the replacement for Lemar, per reports.

Arsenal have had bids in the region of £40million rebuffed for Lemar, as the Ligue 1 holders are holding out for £50million for his transfer. However, the boss of Monaco Leonardo Jardim reveals last week that they are willing to let Lemar leave only for the right price.

Monaco have turned a hunting ground for all of the top clubs in Europe and they have seen a large chunk of their stars leave this season. Monaco announced the signing of talented winger Rachid Ghezzal and it has raised much suggestion that Lemar would now be allowed to leave as a replacement has come in his stead.

Arsenal have spent only £52million in the transfer window on Alexandre Lacazette. It is worrying to see that Arsene Wenger is refusing to spend despite the obvious need for reinforcement in his squad..

  1. You should say it is worrying to you. The squad is already quite big and Lemar would not be an automatic starter with Sanchez and Ozil on the books.
