Real Madrid have seen their title chase go down the drain this season and there are claims that they will overhaul their team at the end of the season, including the goalkeeping.
Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has been linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu, and his agent, Christophe Henrotay, has revealed that he is contact with Los Blancos, according to report.
Manchester United’s David De Gea, was prime target for Madrid and he was close to switching Old Trafford for the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer of 2016 until a faulty tax machine scuppered the move. Nonetheless, Madrid are yet looking to sign a goal keeper and Courtois is another top choice for them.
Chelsea are currently wallowing in fourth position on the Premier League table and there are reports that Antonio Conte could be sacked sooner. Should the Club continue in crisis, there is a huge possibility that Courtois will leave Chelsea as suggested by his agent.
“Courtois? I am always in contact with Real Madrid,” Henrotay told Voetbal magazine.
“Thibaut’s situation is under review at the moment so let’s see what will happen in the future.
“It’s clear that many clubs have interest in him including Real Madrid. “Courtois is a goalkeeper who makes you win multiple games and trophies.”
Real Madrid are also credited with interest for Eden Hazard and Chelsea cannot sell two of their players to a Club until they are willing to dig deepest into their transfer warchest.
Real Madrid are not happy with the show-offs of Keylor Navas in-between the sticks and they are looking for a more assured shot stopper in the mould of Courtois.
