Fenerbahce’s President has reportedly arrived London to discuss a potential move for Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas.
The appointment of Maurizio Sarri has not favoured Fabregas, who has been subjected to playing a bit-part role at the club.
Sarri signed on Jorginho Napoli and he has preferred the Italy international over the Spaniard as his chief orchestrator of play.
Fabregas is on the radar of several European clubs and Sarri has revealed that he will not stand in the way of the player if he decides to leave.
Victor Moses and Danny Drinkwater are among the players Sarri has given the boot.
For Fabregas, his contract expires at the end of this season, which leaves Chelsea with the choice of cashing in on him this month and lose him for free at the end of the season.
Sercan Hamzaoglu who is a Turkish journalist claims Fenerbahce’s Ali Koc is in London with the aim of sealing a deal with a Premier League club.
“Fenerbahce President Ali KOC, currently in London. Information I received; There’s a serious transfer call from London,” he wrote.
“Fenerbahce insists; How are the negotiations progressing, is it going to be inconclusive, or will we see this later in the coming days?”
He added: “Fenerbahce is a busy effort to monitor the fans. The real hard work is in London. The result is soon to be clear.”
And according to Football Espana the reported move by Koc is for Fabregas.
It is left to be seen how all of these ends up but Fabregas is unlikely going to end up in the Turkish League.
