The transfer window is in its closing stage and you;d expect a rush and probably surprises as clubs look to make their boxes thick with the signing new players.

While Antonio Conte is looking to make new signings, it appears that he may lose a key player with reports claiming that Barcelona are currently in talks to sign Willian.

Since the departure of Neymar from the Camp Nou, Barcelona have been linked with the signing of Philippe Coutinho but Liverpool’s determination to keep the midfielder have been unmatchable.

After making several offers for Coutinho, Barcelona made a stunning £138m bid but it was still meted with outright rebuff and they have now turned their attention to his compatriot Willian.

Willian played a key part in Chelsea’s conquest of the league last season but he was mainly used as a substitute. Jose Mourinho is believed to be an admirer of the winger and Man United were heavily linked with a move for the winger. However, Chelsea refused to listen to offers for the star.

According to the Daily Star, the representatives of Willian has had discussions with Barcelona over a potential move for the player. This may just be an impossible mission for Barcelona.

Chelsea are still in the market for the new signings, to think Conte will allow his team to be further decimated is unthinkable. However, Willian may fancy a move to Barcelona because he will not play regularly for Chelsea.

Conte favours Hazard and Pedro in his attack, which will leave Willian to play second fiddle.
