Sven Mislintat £30m-rated priority target heading to the EPL, Club president confirms

Arsenal are one of the best breeding grounds where talents are nurtured and transformed to super stars – the capacity of Arsene Wenger to hand game time to rising stars has attracted many young players to the club.

Arsenal are plotting a stunning swoop for Turkey international and SC Freiburg centre-back Caglar Soyuncu , per various report.

Soyuncu, 21, joined the Bundesliga side in the summer of 2016 from Altınordu S.K and he has been a regular for the side since then. Known for his skills, composure and ability to win aerial balls, the defender has been tipped to move to the Premier League next season by his former Club’s president.

He has attracted interest from Manchester United and Chelsea but report according to Turkish-football reveals that Arsenal are front-runners for the player’s chase as head of recruitment Sven Mislintat has stepped in to ensure the player ends up lacing his boots for the Gunners.

Liverpool have also scouted the youngster but it appears that Arsenal are winning the race, with £30m mooted for his signing.

Altinordu president Seyit Mehmet Ozkan reckons that the in-demand youngster will complete a switch to the Premier League next season.

“Caglar Soyuncu is going to the Premier League,” Ozkan said.

“He will be there next season, there are big clubs after him.

“I’ve also been told that Bayern Munich are scouting him so we will see.

“He is strong, powerful and doing very well.”

Following the decline of Laurent Koscielny, Arsenal have made the signing of a defender top priority for next season but the signing of a 21-year-old defender may not tickle the fancy of the club’s fanbase.
