Manchester United transfer prime target James Rodriguez is nearing a switch from Real Madrid but to French Club Paris Saint Germain, reports Goal.

Rodriguez has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer but all the reports linking him with a move has not come to fusion. Although, his future remains certain as he wants out of the Santiago Bernabeu.

The report by Goal claims that the former Ligue 1 Champions Paris Saint Germain have opened talks with Real Madrid that will see James Rodriguez join them on a long-term deal.

The arrival of Antero Henrique as the Club’s sporting director has seen PSG busy in the transfer window as they look to dethrone Monaco to the French League.

A deal has been mooted for some big names in European football including Alexis Sanchez, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Sergio Aguerro, all moves as part of their effort to remain a formidable and competitive European team.

Man United are also in the running  for Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata and they know it will be difficult for Los Blancos to agree deal with them for two players. Hence, Man United interest in Rodriguez have cooled off, leaving PSG as his most probable destination.

We understand that the agent of Rodriguez Jorge Mendes has a close tie with Henrique and it is believed that it is the agent that has been pushing for the deal.

He is valued at €60million.
