Chelsea were brutally beaten by Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League last weekend. Many have blamed Maurizio Sarri’s tactics which sees Kante playing in an attacking role, and leaving the back four vulnerable.
Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas was impressive for the Blues in their Europa League game last night and many have called on the Sarri to play the midfielder along Kante for the Blues, with Kante playing his most natural position. Alas, we never see that happen as reports are claiming that Fabregas is talking with AC Milan over a potential move in January.
Since the arrival of Sarri, Fabregas has been played in a bit-part role for the Blues. He is said to be unhappy with his situation and he has set his sight on exiting the club as early as January.
He is in the final year of his contract with Chelsea but he will not sign a new deal with the Blues. In a bid to stop him from leaving as a free agent, Sarri is happy to see him leave, although he wants Chelsea to sign a replacement for the playmaker, according to the Express.
Fabregas, 31, is easily one of the best passers of the ball in the Premier League. It is difficult to see any good reason to allow the midfielder leave.
