South-American midfielder agrees deal with Man United, Liverpool heavily linked

Following Man United failure to win any trophy this season, Jose Mourinho will be active in the transfer window, where he’s expected to make at least one marquee signing.

Man United have secured the services of  Anderson Talisca, after the player signed a pre-contract agreement with the Red Devils, according to report.

The 24-year-old midfielder joined Benfica from Bahia in the summer of 2014 but he was shipped out on loan to Besiktas in the summer of 2016. His two year spell with Besiktas has been nothing short of impressive as he has scored so many goals with reckless abandon despite playing from the midfield.

Although, he finished his loan spell with the Turkish club, Talisca’s spell with Besiktas got Liverpool heavily attracted to him. However, his most probable next footballing destination would be the Fortress of Old Trafford after Turkish journalist Firat Gunayer, revealed that a pre-contract agreement is now in place for the player’s transfer.

Translated as : “Talisca has signed a preliminary protocol with Manchester United.

“Benfica, however, has not yet agreed with the British.

“They are meeting with other clubs.”

Man United are already without Michael Carrick and the future of Marouane Fellaini with the club continues to remain a subject of huge speculation.

Meanwhile, Besiktas boss Senol Gunes tacitly revealed that midfielder would be heading to the Premier League but to play for Liverpool.

“Talisca was already gone at the winter break,” Gunes said after Besiktas’ final game of the season.

“I’m sorry that he won’t be with us any longer.

“I wish he could stay for his sake and ours. He already had a deal in place.”

Talisca is valued at £17.10m according to transfermarkt.
