If reports making the rounds according to the Daily Star, then Arsenal have received a massive boost in their quest to bolster their attack.
AC Milan star striker Carlos Bacca is in the want of a move to the Emirates and he wants the deal completed when the transfer market comes alive in the summer.’
Amid keen interest from Arsenal and other clubs, Bacca moved to the San Siro in the summer of 2015 after they activated his buyout clause that was worth €30 million.
Bacca instantly secured a place in the first team of the San Siro outfits, he scored 18 League goals in 38 Seria A appearances in his first season but they failed to qualify for the Champions League.
This term, Bacca has continued impressing. He’s had 13 goals to his name in 24 starts but he wants a new challenge with Arsenal as his most preferred destination according to the report.
Wenger has been heavily criticized for overseeing Arsenal’s worst season in his reigns. The club are currently wallowing in sixth position on the log, making Champions League qualification for a next season a pipe dream.
Arsenal are expected to bolster their ranks but despite the “come and get me plea” of Bacca, who is 30years, he’s age will be a major stumbling block for any deal.
Alexis Sanchez has stalled over signing a new deal for Arsenal and it is widely speculated that if we make it to the Champions League of next season, he’ll leave and Wenger will be forced to look for a quality replacement.
Bacca is powerful, skillful, he has an eye for goal and plays with so much aggression. He will add dept and quality to any attack.
