Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard has reportedly accepted a pre-contract offer from last season European finalists and winners Real Madri, according to Spanish outlet Ok Diario.
Hazard has been chased by the Spanish giants for a long time, however with reports revealing he is set to join Los Blancos in the summer, Chelsea will have to brace themselves up for his painful departure, which will be heavy on their hearts.
Madrid will make an outlay of 88 million pounds for Hazard when they bring him to Santiago Bernabeu in a little over five months.
The 13-time Champions League winners had hit a slow start to their La Liga campaign, following the departure of the talismanic Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo joined Italian side Juventus last summer, but his exit has left a huge wreckage on the club. Real are 10 points off leaders Barcelona in the La Liga table, and could use a player like Hazard who can be the heartbeat of any side.
Chelsea have tried to up their offer for Hazard to stay put at the club, but the 28-year-old has turned away attention from the 300,000-per-week offer on the plate.
The west Londoners risk losing him in the summer, despite manager Maurizio Sarri pleading to him to remain at Stamford Bridge.
Hazard has notched up 10 goals and 10 assists in the Premier League for Chelsea so far this campaign.
