Manchester United fitness coach Stefano Rapetti has left the club following the sack of Jose Mourinho, that is the claim of journalist Duncan Castles.
We were greeted with the report of Jose Mourinho’s sack on Tuesday afternoon and Manchester United have appointed former player Ole Gunnar Solskjaer , who arrived the club yesterday.
Mourinho stewardship for Man United this season is their worst ever. The Red Devils are currently 11 points adrift fourth placed Chelsea when they are 19points behind Liverpool on the top of the table, with a goal difference of zero after 17 league games.
The executive Chairman of Man United decided to fire Mourinho after United poor show-off against Liverpool last weekend.
Castles claims Mourinho is not the only person that left Man United.
“Also gone I’m told is Stefano Rapetti, the fitness coach that Mourinho hired from Italy to take over some of Rui Faria’s duties in the summer,” he told The Transfer Window podcast.
“That leaves Kieran McKenna, who was promoted from one of the academy teams to the senior coaching staff in the summer to largely replace Faria, and Michael Carrick in charge of training today and potentially in charge of Manchester United’s next match against Cardiff.
“Several of his assistants have also been dismissed [Tuesday] morning, essentially the Portuguese staff that he brought with him to Old Trafford remaining after Rui Faria’s resignation in the summer, and these are Silvino Lauro and Ricardo Formosinho.”
This season for Man United was marred by Mourinho’s inability to keep peace and harmony in the dressing room. The players failed to give their best and some of them were found celebrating after the sack of their boss.
