Antonio Conte is definitely not enjoying his second season at Stamford Bridge – from poor performances to off-ptich battles which includes lack of depth in his squad.’
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has personally delivered Alvaro Morata bad news, with claims that he does not know if the Spaniard will be back to action this season, according to reports.
Morata started the season brightly for Chelsea, but the former Real Madrid striker has missed the last five games for Chelsea due to a back injury. There are reports that he is not responding to injury as expected and this has come as a major blow for the blues who are just with Olivier Giroud as their out-and-out striker.
The 24-year-old Spaniard has been enduring a dip in form, scoring twice in his last 11 games but his presence up front gives Conte more assurance that they can come-off any game with a result.
Chelsea have lost their last two games with wide goal margins and they face West Bromwich Albion in a game that is likely going to determine Conte’s fate as manager of the Club. Conte faced the pressed and he said:
“Morata will not be ready.
“If you ask me whether he needs a day, a month or the rest of the season, I don’t know. I’m worried.
“He is a very important for us but has been missing for a long period of time. I don’t know how long he will be out. We are struggling a lot to find a solution to solve the pain in his back.”
Eden Hazard has led the attack of Chelsea but having failed to perform there, Giroud may likely start against the Baggies.
