Shock at Old Trafford as De Gea agree terms to join Real Madrid, Jorge Mendes confirms

Super agent Jorge Mendes has informed attacking midfielder James Rodriguez that Man United shot-stopper David De Gea has agreed terms with Real Madrid to complete transfer, according to reports.

De Gea has been on the radar of Real Madrid ever since they sold Iker Casillas and his recent heroics in-between the sticks for Man United has awoken Los Blancos interest in him. He was close to a transfer deadline day move to Madrid in the summer of 2015 before a faulty fax machine scuppered the move.

Keylor Navas has won two Champions League with Madrid but De Gea is viewed as the perfect Galaticos and Mendes appears confident that the deal will be completed in the summer after the player agreed personal terms to realise his dream Real Madrid move, claims Caughtoffside via Don Balon.

Arguably the best goalie in the world at the moment, De Gea is still wanted at Manchester United but all that is left for the transfer to be completed is a transfer fee. The report has claimed that the Spaniard is worth €80m, and if a deal is agreed in that region, he would become the most expensive goalkeeper in the history of the game.

Jose Mourinho is known to fancy having established players in his squad and he has said time and again that he will not allow De Gea leave as a replacement for him will not be easy to come by. Nonetheless, money rules football and the modern transfer market and so, we cannot rule out a move when it involves Real Madrid.
