Shkodran Mustafi to Inter Milan: Arsene Wenger drops major hint over imminent transfer

While most Arsenal fans are unhappy with the turn of events at their club, Arsene Wenger is bent on clearing out the dead woods in the club even though the need to bolster his squad is apparent.

Germany international Skhodran Mustafi has been recently linked with a move to Juventus and Inter Milan and despite being a first team player, Arsene Wenger has refused to rule out the sale of the centre-back.

Mustafi joined Arsenal after a long drawn transfer saga between Arsenal and Valencia last summer but the star instantly became a first team player. He partnered Laurent Koscielny at the heart of Arsenal’s defence but he experienced a dip in form after returning from an injury.

Ahead of Arsenal crunch tie with Liverpool, Arsenal Wenger was quizzed about the potential departure of the tough tackler and he responded as thus;

 “It’s difficult for me to speak about any individual cases because we are now in the final seven days of the transfer market. It’s always very difficult to predict what will happen there.

 “You have to make quick and sharp decisions, and you cannot plan that and come out in the press conference with how you will respond to any solicitation. He said as reported by Arsenal.com.
Mustafi returned to Arsenal late this summer as he was given an extended break following his exploits with Germany at the FIFA Confederations Cup in Russia. He returned last weekend against Stoke City and he was a shadow of himself.
Arsenal have sold Gabriel Paulista to Valencia and it will be a mighty shock for fans if Mustafi is sold unless a quality replacement is signed.

Mustafi signed for Arsenal for Valencia in a £35million deal.

  1. “While most Arsenal fans are unhappy with the turn of events at their club” Complete rubbish. Where is the study you’ve done, which has determined that MOST Arsenal fans are unhappy? Don’t have one? Then stop spouting nonsense.
