Following their first UEFA Champions League final in more than a decade, the Reds may be ready to lose some of their star players, including their incredible manager.
Senegalese international Sadio Mane is a subject of transfer interest from Madrid, with many doubting the deal could go through but the Daily Express have claimed that the star has agreed to join Madrid.
It is believed that Zinedine Zidane had earmarked the 20-goal striker as one of his ultimate transfer picks this summer before making a shock resignation from the Blancos dugout last week.
Mane joined Liverpool in 2016 signing a 5-year contract with the Anfield club, and has gone to make a name for himself together with Brazilian player Roberto Firmino and Egyptian talisman Mohammed Salah.
The forward who was directly involved in 29 goals in the just concluded season is believed to have made verbal agreement to become Zidane’s first signing. However, the Frenchman’s departure means his future is hanging in the air.
His transfer to the Spanish capital is now dependent on the decision of Zidane’s successor – whether he would want the forward or otherwise.
Nonetheless, reports have circulated the media that Madrid President Florentino Perez made calls to Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp to enquire on his availability for the vacancy.
The German manager reportedly told the Spanish business magnate that he wants Mohammed Salah and David De Gea at Madrid if chosen for the job.
And who knows? Maybe Sadio Mane too.
