Manchester United have confirmed the resigning of Zlatan Ibrahimovic on a one year deal and this has left the fans of the Red Devils dazed and delirious.
While the fans of United have been thrown into a frenzy over the announcement of Ibrahimovic’s deal, the Swede has sent a message to Romelu Lukaku, stating that he’s happy the Belgian was signed to club.
Ibrahimovic joined Manchester United last summer on a free transfer but was released at the expiration of his contract due to a long injury lay-off. He sustained a knee injury while on duties for United in their Europa league tie against Anderlecht and was ruled out until January – but he’s stepped up his recovery and is now expected back in action in October.
Meanwhile, United had signed Lukaku as a direct replacement for Ibrahimovic and he was even handed the former squad no. of the Swede. Nonetheless, Ibrahimovic is happy with the move of United to bolster their attack and he said:
“Yeah, yeah. I’m happy he came,” he told ESPN .
“I think the team is much stronger this season than last season. Obviously we lost Rooney as a legend for the club but we took three new players and with these three new players the team is stronger.
Lukaku has had a barnstorming start to life in the Premier league this season and he is expected to be the lead attack of United this season. However, United could as well line-up with Ibrahimovic and Lukaku in attack this way.
