Revealed: Why Sven Mislintat is quitting Arsenal, replacement on his way

Arsenal will appoint former star Edu as the club’s technical director in the stead of transfer guru Sven Mislintat, per reports.

Reports emerged that Mislintat, who’s the head of recruitment for Arsenal, is set the leave the club.

The Gunners appointed Mislintat in November 2017 as their Chief scout, his portfolio was later changed to head of recruitment.

Arsene Wenger and Ivan Gazidis were still on the reigns of Arsenal when he was appointed but both are gone, while Emery is in the charge of the club, in its transition process.

Known as “Diamond Eye”, Mislintat has been able to bolster the rank of Arsenal with some quality players including Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Mavropanos.

Although, Arsenal are yet to issue an official statement on his impending departure, the Guardian reports that he decided to quit because Arsenal do not favour him for the technical director position.

Arsenal’s grand plans to restructure post-Arsène Wenger have begun to splinter with Sven Mislintat, brought in as head of recruitment, set to leave after feeling his position has become untenable.

Since Gazidis departed to join Milan and handed over to a new internal management scheme led by the director of football, Raul Sanllehi, and the managing director, Vinai Venkatesham, Mislintat’s chances of becoming technical director have diminished, per The Guardian

Whatever the reason is, Arsenal are on the track of a collapse if the owner fails to release money for transfers.
