The interlull is fully over now and players are expected to return to their various clubs on time for this weekend’s fixtures.
We are now at the climax of the season as the top four race of the Premier League becomes tougher. Bar Chelsea, the outcomes for games between the second and sixth place Arsenal on the log will affect how the table looks and so, all the teams running for Champions League qualification will be eyeing a win.
Arsenal will lock horns with Manchester City this Sunday, the Gunners will be looking to bounce back from their horrendous run of form. Wenger’s men have lost their last four in five Premier League games and any result short of a win may push them further below Man United who occupy fifth position with two more points.
Thankfully, non of Arsenal’s players sustained injury while representing their countries. Mesut Ozil who has watched Arsenal from the sideline with illness and back injury for over a month was featured for Germany in their game against Azerbaijan. This is a major boost for the Gunners but reports have indicated that Lucas Perez is a doubt while Petr Cech will not feature.
However, Arsenal have enough players that will play in the stead of the unfit players. Players like Welbeck, Ramsey and Sanchez are expected to be given another starting berth – without much ado, this is how we think the Gunners will file out against the Citizens.
