The fans of Man United have eagerly awaited this day as the deal for tough-tackling centre-back Victor Lindelof will be confirmed today.
The Swedish defender has arrived Man United’s AOL Training centre in Carringhton to undergo medical before the deal is announced, according to the Daily Mail.
Lindelof has been on the transfer radar of Manchester United and the club had announced last week that they secured a deal for him. Benfica accepted Man United’s €35m (£30.75m) for the impressive defender and it is believed that has put pen on paper for a 4-year deal.
He featured for Sweden in their World Cup qualifier against Norway last night and made the trip to Manchester in the early hours of today. He was on the bench for his country over the entire duration of the game.
He spotted in a Red and Black Cheverolet and he is scheduled to meet with the staffers of United. The deal could be announced today, depending on how soon the medical is completed.
The 22-year-old will be Man United first signing of this summer and he is expected to partner Eric Bailly at the heart of defense for the Red Devils as they seek to bring back the glory days.
