Arsenal ability to retain possession depends on the presence of a creative hub in midfield and Santi Cazorla had always helped the Gunners to offer threats in attack creatively with his ability to hold on to the ball.
Santi Cazorla has stepped up his recovery from injury after pictures and videos of him emerged in a work out session, according to reports.
Cazorla was a key member of Arsenal’s squad last season that thumped Chelsea in first half of the league but the ambidexter midfielder picked up a niggling injury in Arsenal’s Champions league game against Ludogrets in October last year. He was scheduled to come back after six weeks but six weeks has exceeded six months.
He has undergone series of operations and recent revelation showed that bacteria had infected his injury, which has accounted for his delayed return. Albeit there is no fix date for his return, his recent activities has stirred rife hope that his return to first team action is in the offing.
Cazorla like a chunk of Arsenal squad players has one year left on his current Arsenal contract but despite his age, his importance to Arsenal cannot he overly emphasised.
Arsenal have lacked a bit of creativity in the middle of the pack as Ramsey has mostly played too far from Xhaka. With Cazorla in Arsenal’s team, Arsenal are bound to be more competitive and creative.
