Photos: Alvaro Morata show skills in Chelsea training, Conte focused on him

Chelsea new boy Alvaro Morata has joined up with the Blues squad in the far East and he has participated in his first training session under familiar manager Antonio Conte.

After a transfer saga between Man United and Chelsea, Alvaro Morata completed a switch from Real Madrid to Chelsea in a  £60million, five-year deal on Friday.

He became a prime transfer target for Chelsea after they allowed former target Romelu Lukaku slipped under their grasp to United. Chelsea had made Lukaku the man to lead their attack but a more pragmatic Jose Mourinho sanctioned a deal for the Belgian when it was thought that Morata was he main target.

Conte had dismissed Diego Costa with a text message from the Blues Squad at the close of last season as he no longer fits his plans. Costa temperament gets the better of him and it has not gone down well with the Italian tactician.

Morata played under Antonio Conte while with the Old Lady and he will be the man to lead Chelsea’s title defense in the upcoming campaign.

However, despite being familiar, Conte did not look to be taking it lightly with Morata as he puts him through paces in his debut Chelsea training. We feature some of the pictures of Morata’s first training.
