Arsenal have often found it difficult to seal deal for their transfer target. Like in the case of Alexandre Lacazette, he would have been an Arsenal player since last summer save for Arsenal failing to meet his valuation…
The same scenario is already playing out in Arsenal’s chase for French winger Thomas Lemar. The 21-year-old has been on the transfer radar of the Gunners but the offers made for him has been short of his valuation.
While speculation over his proposed move to Arsenal seem to have reduced, the player has revealed that he is happy with Monaco after he broke silence on his Instagram page, revealing his presence at Monaco’s training ground ahead of their season opener this Saturday.
Since the signing of Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon, there has been a dearth of transfer activities at Arsenal but Wenger is keen on signing Lemar. The attack of Arsenal was a huge let-down for them last season and it is believed that Lemar will give more bite the attack of the Gunners.
Lemar could also be played from the middle of the pack, which will provide an option to the injured Santi Cazorla and Jack Wilshere, whose future remain uncertain.
There are suggestions that Lemar would fancy a move to Arsenal because of the presence of Alexandre Lacazette. He also liked a picture of the player in Arsenal training and it is believed that he may move to Arsenal if the price is right.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that is has not come-off the transfer market yet as many would believe.
“What’s next is to remain active,” he said.
“Not a lot [has] happened.
“I believe there are actually two ways to improve the team. First of all to improve the quality of what we do in training to improve the squad and improve the players we have, and secondly to bring more top-level players in.
