Liverpool in an official statement released by the club, have confirmed that Scot Andy Robertson has penned down a new deal at Anfield. The left-back joins the strings of players who have decided to commit their future at the Merseyside outfit.
Jurgen Klopp is chasing a Premier League trophy since taking charge 4 years ago and it is important he has key players of his squad in the same bandwagon as him.
Robertson has been exceptional for the Reds since prised away from Hull City 18 months ago. His performance has made praises escape the lips of Liverpool and its fans.
But with news of him extending his stay and finally inking his signature on a new contract, that surely will cause loud cheers to pour out of Anfield, over his commitment to the club for the long haul.
The 24-year-old is also a fans’ favourite and has surprisingly emerged as one of the best left-backs at the Kop, despite just being only few months inside the job.
Robertson has made 56 appearances for Liverpool since joining the club from relegated side Hull City 18 months ago. Robertson is also the captain of the Scotland national team. He was named after a magnificent showoff for the Scots last year.
Liverpool are atop on the Premier League table, four points adrift holders Manchester City.
