Chelsea rising star Charly Musonda has taken to social media to announce his return to London, after cutting short his loan spell with Scottish club Celtic, this is according to report.

Musonda joined Chelsea in the summer of 2012 – he was an instant regular for the U18s before he made his way up the grades to the U23. Dubbed as one of the most-prospective youngsters for Chelsea, he spent penultimate season on loan at Real Betis, where he was featured regularly.

He was part of Antonio Conte’s pre-season squad members for the last summer but at the start of the season, the 21-year-old struggled to get a place in the star studded team of the Blues. He completed a two-year loan deal with Celtic in the January transfer window but Chelsea were left raging at Brendan Rodgers for failing to regularly feature the player.

He has taken to Instagram to thank Chelsea and Celtic for their support, and hinted that he will not be back at the Scottish club.

“I’d like to thank all of the Celtic family, spending the second half of the season in such a prestigious club with its incredible fans was an experience to cherish, to receive number 67 and have your incredible support, everywhere in Glasgow was amazing.

“I will never forget the noise of a European night at the Park, and to be a part of it and witness it first hand was an experience that’s made me more hungry for that stage, and that’s thanks to you, and the players that just won the league 7 times in a row, and hopefully a double Treble,

“I will be a supporter of Celtic forever, I’d like to thank Brendan Rodgers for giving me that opportunity and guidance every single day, as I continue on my quest.”

Is is certain that he will not be part of Chelsea’s squad that will play Man United in the FA Cup final but Musonda was spotted in Chelsea’s training kit with Rudiger.
