Chelsea have picked up Leeds United loanee Lewis Baker from the Championship side after his flagging performance for the leaders in the previous half of this campaign.
Baker who has had loan spells at Sheffield Wednesday, MK Dons, Vitesse Arnhem, and Middlesbrough, has come to the end of his spell with Leeds.
Baker’s deal was supposed to go by until the end of the season but the midfielder has failed to impress the Championship leaders and parent club Chelsea have recalled him and sent him to Reading until the end of the season.
Baker, 23, made only 11 appearances for Leeds United this campaign, and the drag in his performance is highly unacceptable.
Marco Bielsa’s side are aiming promotion and Baker’s showoff has plunged into the gray.
Chelsea have recalled the youngster and consequently sent in another six months loan spell at Reading. Football insider claim Chelsea have withdrawn the 23-year-old from the Championship side and sent him out on loan to Reading where he is expected to feature regularly.
The midfielder has yet to break through the ranks at Chelsea, making just one appearance at the club.
