Colombia international forward Wilson Tilve could be the next striker to move to the Old Trafford in the summer if he continue his impressive display during his trials at the club’s training ground.

The 16-year-old striker was invited to the Carrington to train with United youth team, and he is reportedly impressing the club.

The player is currently plying his trade at Atlético Colombia de Cartagena— a Colombian League side— but could move to United as soon as he ends his training sessions with the team.

Tilve is being tipped in his homeland as a bright prospect in Colombian football should he maintain his steady growth and development in the game. He has been likened to Colombia superstar James Rodriguez who broke into limelight with his wonderful goal against Uruguay during 2014 world cup tournament. James is currently on loan at Allienz Arena with the Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich after failing to command a place in Zinedine Zidane’s starting lineup.

United’s academy have witnessed a huge turnaround since Nicky Butt took charge in 2014. The academy is currently one of the best in the country as lots of their graduates are playing first-team football in other leagues and clubs.

The 20-time Premier League Champions’ youth teams are also doing well in their respective competitions, Kieran McKenna’s side currently occupy the first position in the U18 League. The U19 side are in the quarter final of the UEFA Youth Champions League.
