Denis Suárez will wear Arsenal’s No. 22 shirt after the Gunners confirmed his arrival on Thursday.
And Gunners boss Unai Emery has hailed the player’s arrival to the club.
The north Londoners have an option to make Suárez stay beyond the six months loan stint he signed for should he impress at the Emirates.
Gunners will have to fork out 20 million pounds to make that happen.
Arsenal are fourth in the Premier League after Chelsea woeful lost to Cherries Bournemouth.
Blues lost 4-0 to Eddie Howe’s men, losing their grips on the wheel and letting Arsenal sailed by into fourth.
It is a crucial moment for Arsenal who in turn will Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in the weekend. Suárez will feature in that game and could help Gunners who have been poor against the Premier League’s top six.
Speaking on his arrival to England to play for Arsenal, Suárez hinted he can’t wait to dive into business. Arsenal are in the Europa League knockout stage, and the 25-year-old doesn’t see any reason why Gunners can’t lift the trophy, after Emery did same at Sevilla.
“I’ve come here to play as much as possible and try to help the team qualify for the Champions League,” Suarez said.
“I’d like to win the Europa League with Arsenal too – why not? It’s a trophy I won under Unai Emery at Sevilla and I’d love to win it again here.”
