Photo: New signing Alvaro Morata looks good in Chelsea jersey

Following the confirmation of Real Madrid and Chelsea’s agreement for the transfer of Alvaro Morata to Stamford Bridge, the Blues fans have been dazed and delirious over the prospect of seeing the Spaniard lace his boots for them in the upcoming season.

Reports emerged on Wednesday that the reigning kings of the Premier League had agreed a £78m deal with Los Blancos for the transfer of Morata, with the finalization of the deal subject to personal terms agreement and medical.

Morata was left out of Real Madrid’s training and he is expected to arrive London today at 10:15am  to finalise the deal.

At the start of the summer transfer window, Romelu Lukaku topped the transfer wishlist of Antonio Conte but the player preferred to pitch his tent with the Red Devils. Since then, Chelsea have been linked with a plethora of strikers including Andre Belotti, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang but  Conte appears to have stuck with his desire for a familiar striker in Alvaro Morata.

Alvaro Morata is expected to lead the attack of Chelsea and his imminent arrival signals the end of Diego Costa, who was told by Conte that he no longer fits his plans for the upcoming season.

Conte had recruited Morata for Juventus while he was with the Old Lady and so, the signing of the striker would greatly delight him.

While we bask in the ambiance of the new boy, we feature a mock up photo of Alvaro Morata in Chelsea jersey.
