Manchester United new signing Nemanja Matic has been put through paces for the Red Devils in his debut training session ahead of the upcoming season.
The 29-year-old Serbian marksman completed a £35million move from Chelsea in a deal spanning the next three years. The player emerged as a target for the Red Devils but they got him in their books after several attempts to lure him hit the rocks.
He is expected to slot into the team of United given his antecedent in the Premier League. Matic is likely to pair Ander Hererra and Pogba in the middle of the pack as Mourinho looks to bring back the Glory days for the Red Devils.
He was dropped from the Chelsea’s team for their pre-season tour but he has been training alone. However, he may need some game time to be brought up to speed as he last featured in a game In May.
His debut training session coincided with his birthday and Mourinho seem delighted to have the star. Having played for Chelsea earlier in his career, the player left Stamford Bridge but Jose Mourinho had resigned him from Benfica and they have once again reunited.
We bring a few of the pictures of Matic training in the colours of United.
