Time was when Arsenal were called a “selling club” as they could not keep their best players – that era is said to be in the past but it appears that the coming of Emery may have signaled the departure of some of our players.
Jack Wilshere may have tacitly revealed that he will be be heading out of the Emirates this summer.
Wilshere is in the final month of his contract with Arsenal and he could leave the Emirates as a free agent from July.
The 26-year-old star is currently one of the longest serving Arsenal players after joining the club’s academy at the age on nine. He was full of prospect when he broke into the Gunners first team but injuries hampered his development.
He spent the penultimate season on loan at Bournemouth and after impressing in the first half of the season with the Cherries, he picked up an injury and returned to Arsenal. Wilshere was a key figure for Arsenal last season and he laid bare his desire to continue lacing his boots for the Gunners.
Unai Emery has been in talks with the midfielder over his plans for him but Wilshere is unhappy with the offers made for him by Arsenal. The star currently smile to the bank for £110,000-a-week but the Gunners have reportedly offered him a performance based contract with a wage of £90,000-a-week.
The player took to Instagram to post a cryptic message and rife reports have claimed that he wants out of the club.
Wilshere is not short of suitors as Juventus, AC Milan, Everton and Wolves have signified their interest in signing him. Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move Lucas Torreira which will further creates competition in Emery’s team.
