Chelsea begin their title defence campaign this Saturday against Burnley and the Blues are stepping up preparation for the upcoming season.
Eden Hazard posed with Chelsea new signing Alvaro Morata at Chelsea’s Cohbam training ground and their photo has been making the rounds.
Alvaro Morata put pen to paper on a five-year contract with Chelsea after a transfer saga which involved Man United. The Spanish striker was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford but just Mourinho eventually favoured a move for Romelu Lukaku.
Morata has been involved in Chelsea’s pre-season games but his latest appearance for the Blues in the FA Cup community Shield game revealed that he was struggling to adapt to the rigours of the Premier League. He made a second half appearance but was anonymous for the duration in which he featured.
Morata threw away a penalty but the prospect of seeing him play along Eden Hazard soothes the fans of the Blues. Hazard has been recuperating from injury following a broken bone he sustained while starring for his national team.
It appears that he is bonding well with Morata and helping the Spaniard settle in England. Chelsea posted a picture of the pair at their Cobham training ground on their Instagram page and captioned it: “Photo shoot day at Cobham! @hazardeden_10 @alvaromorata #CFC #Chelsea”
Conte signed four player for the Blues this summer but he is yet on the look out for one or two more signings before the close of the window.
