In recent seasons, injuries have cost Arsenal a lot of points as some of their key players get banjaxed just when the season hit its peak. The Gunners will be hoping that a chunk of their key players stay fit for the most part or entire season.
According to recent report, Arsenal have been boosted by the return of England international Jack Wilshere to training, after an injury lay-off that ruled him out of the season while on duty for Bournemouth.
Wilshere fell the selection pecking order of Arsene Wenger last term following the acquisition of Granit Xhaka from Borussia Monchengladback, he was sent on a season-long loan move to the Cherries where he had a barnstorming season. He featured consistently for the two halves of last season until a broken leg scuppered his impressive show-offs at the end of last season.
The midfielder has returned to training and he participated in the full session as he steps up his recovery. With Santi Cazorla out indefinitely, he has been tipped to be the man to partner Xhaka in midfield if he can stay fit and regain his form.
There were report that the player could leave Arsenal this summer with Swansea, West Ham and Sampdoria all interested in his signature. But the star man looks set to stay in the Emirates for another 12 months, providing options for Wenger in midfield.
Arsenal have returned from their pre-season tour in Australia and China and they will kick off their Premier League season with a game against Leicester City.
