Chelsea lock horns with Arsenal in the curtain-raiser of the Premier this Sunday. Both teams are done with their pre-season games and preparations for the game is in top gear.
Premier League Champions Chelsea have received a major boost ahead of the game following the return to training of Spain international Pedro Rodriguez, according to report.
Pedro sustained a nasty injury when he clashed with Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina in their pre-season thrashing of the Gunners the Capital of China.
Following the collision, the Spaniard pre-season ended as he was taken to the hospital and that steered fear that he might be sidelined indefinitely. He had suffered multiple fracture and did not return with his teammates.
However, Pedro has returned to the fold and he could be in line for another starting berth for the Community Shield game this weekend.
The Spaniard took to Instagram to reveal that he has started training but he was spotted wearing a protective mask.
Pedro played a key role in Chelsea’s conquest of the Premier League title last season and his return has come as a huge boost for Conte, who still have some of his key players either unfit or recovering from injury.
Eden Hazard has started running but the Belgian is still recovering from an ankle sugery while Tiemoue Bakayoko is also on the recovery pane. Meanwhile, Chelsea new signings Alvaro Morata and Antonio Rudiger are still short of fitness.
