Preparation for the upcoming season is now rife and Arsenal will be hoping to make a statement of intent when they lock horns with Chelsea on Sunday for the curtain-raiser of the Premier League scheduled for 2pm at the Wembley Stadium.

Having won the Emirates Cup, the Gunners are in high spirit but Mesut Ozil appears to be on cloud 9 as he took to Instagram to showcase one of his Adidas no-lace boots.

Ozil who joined Arsenal from Real Madrid was formerly sponsored by Nike but on switching the Santiago Bernabeu for the Emirates, he struck a deal with Adidas and he has been wearing their Ace 15 Primeknit, which cost a little over £250.

Ozil is paid by the kit company a whopping  £33,120 whenever he show cases the boots on social media. He has won several colours and he took to Instagram on Wednesday to showcase the latest he’s got for the upcoming season.

There are quite many advantages using the no-lace boot – The boots are very light to wear and the area without lace prevents the player from getting injured. Maybe Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla should take a cue for Ozil and get an adidas no-lace boots.

Ozil has been mostly criticised for his below par performances but he pays deaf hears to his critiques. With Alexandre Lacazette set to lead the attack of Arsenal, we hope to see Ozil provide as much assist with those no-lace boots.
