Philippe Coutinho may yet have trotted on the wrong path to a fulfilling football career following his forced exit away from Anfield.
Coutinho had been the the powerhouse of an energetic Reds midfield before his big money move to La Liga side Barcelona.
However, things haven’t spun-off well for the midfielder. Coutinho has been pipped in Ernesto Velverde’s team and clawing back has been a big burden on his shoulders.
The sterling midfielder must now fight his way into the team as explained by boss Velverde who has preferred playing the likes of Arturo Vidal and Artur for the berth.
In the pecking order, Frenchman Ousmane Dembele has seen his fortunes turn this latter half, and is ahead of the Brazilian too.
Making his way back into Velverde’s team sheet could prove a tough task. However, Coutinho could be punished for aggressively pushing for an exit away from Barcelona.
The Catalonia outfit is ready to splash big on Neymar, who joined Paris Saint-Germain last year for a world record fee.
If that happens, Coutinho make be shipped to another club. With the player’s future still dangling, Premier League outfit Manchester United are said to be warming up to the idea of bring him back to the English top-tier. And Barcelona will not sell beyond the 142 million pounds deal coughed up for him.
