Personal terms agreed! £35m-rated Arsenal target agrees long-term deal

Arsenal have been credited with interest for a chunk of players since the close of last season but there is no telling if those reports hold water.

Another player heavily linked with a move to Arsenal Michael Seri, who plied his trade for Ligue One side Nice, has now signed for Italian giants Roma, this is according to the report.

The Ivorian impressed with the  Les Aiglons last term where he led them to Champions League qualification, and he became a target for the Gunners.

Playing from the middle of the pack, Seri connected the defense and the attack of Nice – he scored seven goals and provided nine assist from his midfield orchestrations. With his impress cameos, he was linked with a move to Arsenal with Tottenham also credited with interest for him.

However, the Gunners have been dealt a massive blow in the pursuit of the player as Roma are the clear favorite to sign the midfielder. The agent of Seri is understood to have thrashed out an agreement with Roma.

Nice are holding out for €40m (£35m) fee for the player but Roma will go back with an improve offer of €35million (£30.6m), which they believe would be accepted by Nice.

Arsenal have been without midfield maestro Santi Cazorla due to a protracted injury and the diminutive playmaker may not be back until next year. Wenger is keen on adding a midfielder to his squad.
